Racing shoes (or racing flats as they are sometimes known as) are the lightest and most flexible shoes we sell. These shoes may have a life span of typically 100 - 200 miles compared to the 250 - 350 miles of performance shoes and 500 miles+ of standard training shoes. They are not usually used as an everyday training shoe but instead are used for racing, track sessions and speedwork. Most runners who own these shoes use other training shoes as well during their training week.

Typically weighing up to 200g they help racing performance by weighing less, having increased flexibility and a more responsive ride. Their fit is often a little narrower than a training shoe (helps with the flexibility) and you are a lot closer to the ground (known as a low profile) and it's this that again makes it a good shoe for those interested in natural running or the barefoot running technique but are unwilling for whatever reason, to adopt a completely no protection route.

Finally, these shoes are often unisex. Their narrower fit making it acceptable to both men and women.
