This shoe offers a moderate amount of support for those who mildly over pronate and with Gel cushioning under the heel and the forefoot it suites a lot of runners.
The GT 2170 Utilises ASICS' Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) which will help guide the runner through the gait cycle from heel strike to stage to pushing off from the toes. The Personal Heel Fit (PHF) is memory foam in the heel of the shoe improves the comfort and fit around the ankle. All in all, this is a great shoe and it is easy to see why so many runners choose it.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
• I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System): The individual components of the shoe work together to give a more comfortable feel an improved gait
• Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning System: The Silicone based material placed in the pressure zones of the sole dampens shock
• Full Length Guidance Line: Vertical flex groove in the sole running from heel to toe which encourages a more efficient running style
• Solyte: This spongy layer between the sole and upper is designed to absorb shock and provide cushioning for the foot. This material is lighter and more durable then EVA.
• Dynamic DuoMax Support System: The Dual density material is positioned to support the foot and provide stability.
• Discrete Eyelets: These independently placed eyelets disburse lace tension improving the fit and reducing the risk of possible irritation
