Cushioning Technology
New Abzorb® DTS Dynamic Transition System (D.T.S) in the New Balance 850 combines Abzorb® foam and Abzorb® SBS to provide optimal cushioning and a smooth transition on heel strike.
Abzorb® SBS in the forefoot provides exceptional shock absorption. This foam-based polymer works by dispersing the forces out from the point of impact and reducing the shock that is transferred through the shoe and up into the leg and body (this type of shock is sometimes responsible for heel, ankle, and even back pain). This next generation of the original Abzorb® provides 5-10% more effective cushioning.

LIGHTNING DRY hydrophobic fabric quickly moves moisture away from the feet to keep you comfy and dry whilst on the run. It's also odour-resistanct thanks to the Ortholite® foam insert which gives long term comfort, breathability, and has anti-microbial properties.
